Where to Find Me Each Week
Filed Under 7x7 magazine, About Lorraine, Blogging, KQED, Kayak, SF Indie Fashion, San Francisco Chronicle | 1 Comment
Phew! Things have been so busy lately that I’ve been remiss in updating this site with all my clips. Here’s an update on what’s been going on:
- I was recently honored to be selected as a fellow in the Knight Digital Media Center’s Journalism Entrepreneurship program, held in May at the University of Southern California.
- Three times a week, you can find my fashion coverage on 7×7.com’s Glamwatch.
- Once a week, you’ll find my writing about the San Francisco fashion scene on the San Francisco Chronicle’s SF Unzipped blog.
- Every weekday (and some weekends), you’ll find my coverage of the San Francisco independent fashion community on SF Indie Fashion.
- And every single day of the week, you’ll find my travel writing, news, tips and advice on KAYAK’s Kayak Traveler blog.
- I also still occasionally write for KQED’s Spark program and freelance for various other publications, including the San Francisco Chronicle.
- In August, I’ll be leading a seminar with local public relations pro Rena Ramirez of 6th Gen Media to help local designers and small businesses take charge of their marketing, public relations and social media efforts. Stay tuned for more information on that…

Where to Find my Recent Work

If you’re seeking samples of my current work, my writing appears:
- Every Monday through Friday on SF Indie Fashion and the TravelPost Insider blog.
- Four days a week, you’ll find me covering San Francisco fashion, beauty and style for 7×7 and the 7×7 Glamwatch blog.
- On KQED’s Spark web site, where I’ve written profiles for artists such as Katherine Westerhout and W. Kamau Bell, who appear on the show this season.
- Monthly in the Noe Valley Voice, where I regularly cover new local businesses and neighborhood news. Most recently, I checked in with a young Noe Valley hero in Injured Teen Creates Poster to Benefit Art in Schools, a new optometry practice on 24th Street and a children’s book-lending service new to the neighborhood in the June Store Trek section.
Other current projects:
- I’m also writing for Daily Candy, teaching a summer class in fashion media to a fabulous group of high school fashion addicts through the Academy of Art in San Francisco, polishing artist and musician profiles for Temple Music Group and putting my travel background to work compiling a series of Top 10 Travel Lists you’ll find featured on the home page of TravelPost.
