The Real Story Behind the 1st iPhone Call


If you look closely (meaning, way down at the bottom), a mention of little ‘ole me. I got the chance to contribute to this Fast Company story by Austin Carr as a stringer when I interviewed the Starbucks employee who took the first public iPhone call, one made by Steve Jobs from the stage where he debuted the device. Anyway, the call has become the stuff of geek legend. I was fascinated to learn from the woman who took the call that the location still, to this day, receives prank calls asking for 4,000 lattes.
